Sex. Death. Wealth.
Creation. Ending. Exchange.
These are forces that move through every human life. Yoga, at its root, was never separate from them. It was a way of meeting them with steadiness, sincerity, and trust in the intelligence of the body.
This immersion is drawn from the larger 300-hour Yoga of Sex, Death & Wealth training held annually at The Yoga Barn in Bali. It offers a focused introduction to these themes through the lens of yoga and tantra.
The training is especially valuable for yoga teachers, bodyworkers, therapists, and facilitators who want grounded frameworks for holding sensitive and complex territory. It offers methodology, ethics, and embodied tools that can be integrated directly into teaching.
At the same time, it is open to anyone who feels a sincere call. You do not need to be a teacher. A basic familiarity with yoga practice is enough. What matters is honesty and a willingness to look inward.
Across two full days, we explore:
- Sex as vitality, instinct, and creative life force
- Death as surrender, grief, identity shifts, and renewal
- Wealth as worth, reciprocity, and the flow of giving and receiving
- We study these not as abstract ideas but as lived experience in the body.
Structure
Each day includes:
- One two-hour movement practice rooted in Hatha yoga and somatics
- Two 30-minute Yoga Nidras
- Theory and philosophical roots in yoga and tantra
- Somatic inquiry and embodied anatomy
- Methodology and sequencing principles
- Ethics and scope of practice
- Guided dialogue and reflection
The movement practices alternate between structured Hatha and somatic exploration. The aim is sensitivity and integration rather than performance.
Yoga Nidra is central to the process, creating space for the nervous system to settle so insight can become embodied.
The Arc
Day One opens with Sex as vitality. We establish safety in the body and explore the root of creative force through grounded practice.
On the evening of the first day, we enter the current of Death through slower movement and guided descent, beginning to work with impermanence and letting go. This inquiry continues into the beginning of Day Two so the experience of dissolution is not rushed.
From there, we move into Wealth as self-worth and circulation, exploring receiving, visibility, and expansion with steadiness.
By the close of the immersion, the three currents are understood as one movement of life.
