Returning to Attention Recording 

 

 

Session 1: Vital Roots

February 25th, 2026

In our first session together, we explored Vital Roots, reconnecting to the ground of our life force and sexuality as something natural and alive in us.

We began by noticing how energy moves in the body, especially in moments of stress or activation. Instead of pushing it away, we practiced offering that energy consciously. Through mantra, simple gesture, and grounding attention in the womb space and pelvic bowl, we connected to a deeper sense of safety and support.

The yin practice moved through Child’s Pose, Sphinx, Sleeping Swan, and Shoelace. The focus was slow listening and allowing the body to release in its own time. We touched into the connection between safety and pleasure, and how settling the nervous system allows energy to flow more freely.

We closed with Yoga Nidra, resting while staying gently aware. With breath, body sensing, and seed imagery, we explored rooting down and growing upward, trusting our own timing and expression.

Session 2: Quiet Release

March 4th, 2026 

Emily led a guided yoga and meditation session focused on "quiet release" techniques inspired by her 300-hour sex, death, and wealth training module. The session combined physical movements designed to release tension in the body, including forward bends, twists, and inversions, followed by a 20-minute Yoga Nidra practice that guided participants through visualizations of releasing the elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space) back to their sources. The practice emphasized letting go of stress and finding a sense of peace and presence through conscious rest and awareness.

 

SESSION 3: BALANCED FLOW

March 11th, 2026

This was the third session of Emily's "Returning to Attention" series focused on energy exchange patterns and balanced flow, based on her 300-hour yoga training module. During the session, Emily guided participants through somatic movements exploring three energy exchange patterns: receiving, holding, and offering, using breath awareness and yoga asanas to demonstrate these concepts. The practice included physical movements like child's pose, downward-facing dog, and pigeon pose, with emphasis on observing natural breathing patterns and the pauses inherent in both breath and energy exchange. The session concluded with a yoga nidra meditation focused on balanced flow, followed by a brief sharing circle where participants discussed their personal experiences with the practices.

 

SESSION 4: WHOLE PRESENCE

March 18th, 2026

Emily led the fourth and final session of her "Returning to Attention" series, focusing on the themes of sex, death, and wealth through a yoga and meditation practice. The session began with grounding exercises and somatic practices designed to promote coherence in the body, mind, and spirit. Emily guided participants through a series of asanas and concluded with a 20-minute yoga nidra that explored the subtler aspects of the three themes. The session ended with a brief check-in among participants and a mention of Emily's upcoming 300-hour yoga training in Bali in May.
